Training programmes for professionals
and other stakeholders

nZEB Ready foresees the development of a free access Knowledge Platform for skilled professionals and other stakeholders.

The nZEB curricula will serve as the base to develop tools for the mutual recognition of energy skills and qualifications and for implementing passports for building professionals at European level.

Expected to be released in August 2022.

Public Authorities

We develop and provide tools that help decision makers better understand nZEB, leading therefore to knowledge based decision making when developing the legal spectrum or when approving building permits, either for new buildings or when dealing with deep renovation.

Professionals

The project implies the elaboration of various training programmes dedicated to deep renovation methods for existing buildings or for
new nZEB buildings. Such schemes are meant to the number of skilled professionals on the market of nZEB.

Building owners and tenants

We act to increase the awareness of homeowners or tenants on the advantages of nearly Zero Energy Buildings and all related aspects, boosting therefore the demand for nZEB skills in the construction sector and stimulating the direct demand for energy skills.

High performance buildings

What is nZEB?

A nearly Zero Energy Building is defined as “a building with very high energy performance”, where “the nearly zero or very low amount of energy required should be extensively covered by renewable sources produced on-site or nearby”

(Energy Performance of Buildings Directive – EPBD, 2010)

About nZEB Ready
Within the project consortium, 5 countries, from different parts of European Union and with different implementation status are involved as pilot cases: Croatia, Poland, Romania, Portugal and Bulgaria. The project outcomes will be easily scalable to all member countries and easy to implement in any other country, regardless of the nZEB implementation level and knowledge. This is why the nZEB ready project has a key role in developing the nZEB market needs and skills all around Europe.

Courses
Training programmes will be developed for designers to better understand how to properly integrate several components needed to achieve nZEB levels.
Engineers and Architects
The same training programmes will allow Energy Auditors to better assess and provide solutions for preexisting or new buildings.
Energy Auditors
Special components will be included in the training programmes. These will allow engineers to have a better understanding of the critical points that need to be checked on-site.
Execution Engineers
Skilled workers will also benefit from the training programmes. The learning outcomes will be strictly related to practical methods and best practice examples.
